• Delhi's air quality has shown a slight improvement over the past 24 hours, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 296 at 9:31 AM on 24 October 2026, down from 337 the previous day, according to AQI.in.
• The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported an official city-level AQI of 190 at 8 AM, categorising it as 'Moderate' under India's air quality scale.

Impact & Risks

Despite the slight improvement, Delhi's air quality remains a concern, with pollution levels still high enough to pose health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions. The air quality is expected to worsen as winter approaches, with weaker winds likely to trap pollutants in the atmosphere. Prolonged exposure to such conditions can lead to respiratory issues, reduced visibility, and other health complications.
